In books we find "to KEEP or to LET GO"

Tidying up with Marie Kondo was an instant hit on Netflix.

Many people who watched the programme followed Kondo’s advice and

got rid of a lot of things that did not spark joy.

In fact, Kondo is not the first person to help people declutter.

The trend began in Japan with Ms. Hideko Yamashita's book

“Dan Sha Ri”(斷捨離) in 2011 about letting go of unnecessary things.

But there are others who believe that "mess can work better than neatness"

The Library has selected books on both sides of the spectrum,

you can decide for yourself what to keep and what to let go

before the next spring cleaning.
