Since the last update issued on 26 May 2014, the library renovation project has continued its momentum.
Tentatively, renovation works is scheduled to take place between June and November 2015. The Academy Library has to be closed for main construction works from 1 June to 31 August 2015. The contractor will return the site to the Library by 2 phases as shown on the floor plan below:
During the renovation period, the Library will continue to provide services in Classroom 12 from 1 June to 31 August 2015 and resume services in the Academy Library from 1 September 2015 according to the below opening hours:
The Learning Resources Room will continue to open but may have to be closed for minor works on certain days which will be announced at a later stage. In consideration of the room’s proximity to the construction site, noise disturbance may be unavoidable. Thus, the Libraries have arranged with ITSU to house some AV carrels and PCs installed with library applications in the Computer Laboratory to serve as an alternative location to the Learning Resources Room. Both the Learning Resources Room and the Computer Laboratory open daily from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm.
