In the month of July 2015, the Academy Library underwent complete transformation with a construction of a steel deck for the new upper ground floor. The old dropped ceiling was removed and a new one is being installed hiding plumbing, wiring and other utilities.
The iconic oval ceiling came to light; the Circulation Counter and the new Multimedia Area also came into shape. The oval ceiling has now been covered with mirror like material highlighting the Information Commons.
Visiting the site, one could not but feel the sense of excitement seeing the Library being transformed in different ways.
