The postholder will assist the Campus Development Office (“CDO”) to provide a spectrum of executive services to facilitate the development and operation of CDO.
The postholder will assist supervisors to review, formulate and implement policies and guidelines of CDO; to assist in the quotation/tender process; to conduct research and provide administrative support for the various consultancy studies and projects of the office; to liaise with internal and external parties; to prepare reports/documents which include but not limited to submissions to Government, correspondences with relevant public organisations, consultation papers, etc.; to arrange meetings with the stakeholders concerned and provide secretarial support; and to assist in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

The postholder will be responsible to the Dean of School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts for academic coordination and curriculum development for all programmes. Required Qualifications:
(a) Advanced academic qualifications and/or a relevant MA/MFA degree in the performing arts or other relevant field;

(c) At least four years’ leadership and administrative/management experience in an arts context or the equivalent;

The Head of Contemporary Dance reports to the Dean of the School of Dance. This position entails providing pedagogic, creative and artistic leadership across all levels and courses in Contemporary Dance offered by the Academy. Responsibilities include curriculum development for the Contemporary Dance programmes and the selection and development of repertoire for public performances and tours. Additionally, the Head will provide administrative support to the Dean in matters of scheduling, course evaluation, assessment, student mentoring, committee work, staff development, and planning.
The Head of Contemporary Dance is required to teach Contemporary Dance Technique and at least one of the following areas: Contemporary Dance practice/repertory, Composition, Choreography, Analysis, Dance History, Improvisation, Aesthetics & Criticism or Dance pedagogy. The Head will be committed to fostering strong connections with professional dance community at local, regional and international levels, engaging in professional development, and staying current with trends in professional dance training and scholarship. Additional duties may be assigned by the Dean from time to time.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a higher degree (preferably with a postgraduate qualification), possess extensive professional experience, demonstrate substantial scholarly achievement, and have teaching experience at university level in a conservatoire context. Experience in academic leadership and management is essential. The successful candidate will serve on the School’s Management Committee and lead the Contemporary Dance department. The Head will be expected to play a strategic role in the further development of Contemporary Dance within the School, aligning with the Academy’s new strategic plan and School priorities, particularly concerning research in practice-based programmes.

Applicants are expected to be degree holders in a relevant discipline, or demonstrate the highest-level professional training to an equivalent level; plus relevant high-level professional and international experience together with the ability to teach in English or Chinese. Prospective language faculty should be professionally qualified as teachers. Interested parties applying to teach Master Degree programmes are expected to hold a terminal degree in a relevant discipline, together with a track record of high-level professional practice. For some areas of study, current professional practitioners are preferred whilst for others, university-level teaching experience would be necessary. Qualified and interested persons are invited to apply by completing a prescribed application form which will be kept on file under subject discipline for Academic Year 2024/2025 until such a time when a suitable vacancy may arise. PART-TIME FRONT-OF-HOUSE USHERS

Appointees will report to the Senior Ushers and the Front-of-house Duty Managers. They will assist in front-of-house and venue management duties for performances and events hosted in the Academy venues. Appointment will be on a one-year basis. During the contract period, appointees are expected to work according to the working roster scheduled from time to time by the Manager of Venue Performance Unit.
Applicants should have:
(a) At least 5 subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above in the HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language;
(b) Pleasant personality;
(c) Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua; and
(d) Preferably, experience in Front-of-House duties.
