On Sunday 3 March, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) will present its 35th Anniversary Academy Open Day with more than 100 free activities prepared by students and faculty of the six Schools, our elite alumni and supporting units on the Wanchai main campus and Béthanie Landmark Heritage Campus in Pokfulam. Highlight activities include dance performances, open classes, guided tour to TV Studio, concerts, visit to backstage, Cantonese Opera experience through virtual reality, interactive showcase (Tai Chi, Movement, Greek Chorus, Theatre Games) and Elite Alumni Sharing Session – The Next Ten Years of Hong Kong Movies? The 35th Anniversary Academy Open Day is definitely a good occasion to gather with your family and friends.

The Academy hosted its Annual Fundraising Ball 《CIRCUS》 on 8 December 2018
The annual Academy Ball organised by The Society of the Academy for Performing Arts (SAPA) is one of the focal events of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy), aiming at raising scholarship funds for Academy students. This year, the Academy Ball CIRCUS was held on Saturday 8 December 2018 at the Academy Lyric Theatre. Over 350 eminent guests, donors and friends of the Academy joined the evening.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Confers Honorary Doctorates and Honorary Fellowships
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy) today (1 November) has conferred honorary awards on five outstanding individuals for their achievements and contributions to the performing arts and cultural industry and also the development of the Academy. HKAPA Presents Performances of Fall 2018 in Celebration of the Academy’s Upcoming 35th Anniversary
In celebration of the upcoming 35th Anniversary of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy) in 2019, the Academy will bring to stage four astounding dance, drama and Cantonese opera performances this Fall, which are presented by students of the respective Schools in collaboration with the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts. Free concerts, masterclasses and talks are also offered by the School of Music till the end of December 2018.

The Academy Announced Class Suspension and Close of Offices Today
With Typhoon Mangkhut bringing undesirable weather conditions to Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has announced that all classes are cancelled today (17 September) due to safety reasons. Students and staff are not required to return to the Academy.
