07 May (Wed) - 10 May (Sat)
Inspired by Original Chinese Novel Journey to the West & Anthony Chan’s play of the same name
Tang Sanzang, after obtaining the Buddhist scriptures in the West, returns to Chang'an from the Thunderclap Monastery with his three disciples: Sun Wukong (the Monkey King), Sha Wujing (Friar Sand), and Zhu Baijie (Wuneng). However, they find that much has changed. The Great Tang Empire is no longer as it once was, and the Buddhist scriptures are not what they had imagined. Even the relationship between Sanzang and his disciples encounters occasional tensions.
