The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has remained 1st in Asia for four consecutive years and ranks 10th in the world for two consecutive years in the latest QS World University Rankings’ Performing Arts category.

HKAPA Welcomes the Budget 2022-23
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts welcomes the proposal of allocating additional resources to promote arts and culture, announced in today’s Budget briefing. Academy Director, Professor Gillian Choa, is pleased to see the proposed increase of resources in the performing arts, cultural and arts sectors, arts technology, and the heritage of Cantonese opera, all of which align with the long time strategic goals of the Academy.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has conferred Honorary Doctorates and Honorary Fellowships
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (the Academy) has conferred Honorary Awards on eleven outstanding individuals in recognition of their remarkable achievements and contributions to the performing arts and cultural industry and also the development of the Academy. The ceremony held today at the Academy Lyric Theatre was officiated by the Academy Council Chairman Professor Stephen Chow Chun-kay, GBS SBS BBS JP. Academy Director Professor Gillian Choa expressed her sincere gratitude for the Honorary Awardees’ exemplary and valuable support to the Academy.
